Lathrop Law’s Associate supports two attorneys, 50-70 clients and interacts with medical providers, attorneys, adjusters, judges, other legal professionals, and vendors. To keep this high-performance machine working well, multitasking and attention to detail are two of the most important duties of this position. The Associate answers and organizes many emails, telephone calls and correspondence. Together we answer questions, moderate discussions, advocate for a safer community and live by our core values and core focus.
To be the next Up and Coming Plaintiff’s Trial Attorney and be part of this badass team, you need 0-2 years of professional experience, so not much! But, uncompromising integrity, being a lifetime learner, stellar attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability is required for this position. These attributes are non-negotiable.

Must Haves:
- Understand Nebraska and Iowa court rules for civil procedure, discovery, and evidence.
- Experience e-filing in PACER and Nebraska Justice.
- Experience drafting pleadings, discovery documents, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat DC, case management software, and research tools (Lexis/Nexis).
- Proofread, revise, and edit legal documents and correspondence.
